I am in oppositition to the current planned development of the Black Lion Sports Centre. It proposed use for Olympians and Benefit to Nearby colleges robs local folk of their only multipurpos playing field. The Area of North Gillingham is already short of resident facilties. Local schools hold sports days on the reduced in size Hilly fields, which on exists due to the wwork of Voluteers. Local children play in... | Read more...

We are multi cultural now, and that isnt a bad thing, it helps us to to understand other cultures and be part of them if we wish to, but we should not forget our own British traditions. Marking St George's Day is a very good idea. In America you see the flags flying all the time, I shall have one on my car to support England at the Olympics. So... | Read more...

I am fully supportive of a national holiday for St George's Day. I think that it is a matter of national identity - yes we are British and yes we are also a multicultural society, but the majority of people in England are at the very least British, if not English. Bank holiday next year please! I think some people would say it is strange to celebrate it though when a lot of people here aren't english and wouldn't want to do it. can't force them to take part but we should be positive about the country and they should want to take part of their own accord!!... | Read more...
